About

Arara came from a cross of Obatã and Yellow Catuaí selected by Fundação Procafé in Minas Gerais. It is short enough for close planting and machine harvesting, ripens yellow, and carries Obatã's resistance to leaf rust from the Timor Hybrid.

Brazilian farmers took to it quickly for its yields, and lots of Arara have done well in Brazil's Cup of Excellence.
