About
Obatã comes from Brazil's Agronomic Institute of Campinas, which also bred Mundo Novo and Catuaí. Its dense, compact trees ripen late and keep their leaves under rust pressure.
It suits Brazil's lower, mechanised farms and gives the round, nutty cups typical of the country.
