About
Batian is named after the highest peak of Mount Kenya. It was released in 2010 as a tall, true-breeding alternative to Ruiru 11, resistant to both coffee berry disease and leaf rust.
Its parents include SL28, SL34 and Rume Sudan, and its cups often carry the bright berry character that made Kenya famous.
