About
Sumatran farmers call several related dwarf types "Ateng". Most descend from Catimor seed brought in from the 1970s on, and they grow alongside Tim Tim (Timor Hybrid) and older Typica.
Wet-hulled, as most Sumatran coffee is, they give the heavy, earthy cups the island is known for.
