About
Sidra spread from farms in Pichincha, Ecuador, and was long described as a cross of Red Bourbon and Typica. Most genetic tests since then point to Ethiopian landrace ancestry instead, though the name may cover more than one variety.
It is now grown in Colombia too, and baristas have used it to win national and world titles.
